The Mec 3084RT Speed Level™

"Wait! Is that a scissor lift? "

"No. "

"A boom lift?"

"No, although it has one."

"Well, what is it that thing then!?"

"This is a Mec 3084RT Speed Level™ Sigma Lift."

While Mec touts this brilliantly painted machine as a "sigma lift" , the footprint and deck size are more comparable to a scissor lift than a boom so we tend to group it together with machines of that category here. It even has the two side cabinets and ladder on the back reminds one of the Skyjack SJ68 series. Here we have the SJ6826RT, the Mec 3084RT, and the Skyjack SJ6832RT.

It is interesting to note the different dimensions between the three machines.

On dimensions alone, there is no clear winner between the three units. The 3084RT Speed Level's larger deck and heavier platform capacity is offset by its heavier weight, greater bulk for tight working conditions, and lack of an extension deck.

The game changer is the platform levelling. A multi-angle pivot point at the bottom of the boom is set up to provide a 14 degree side to side and 10 degree fore and after platform levelling capability. Consider the following picture.

Here we see the core of the self levelling system. The two cylinders pictured work with the two way pivot for the "sigma lift". With options to switch between automatic or manual levelling , this revolutionizes working on slopes.

Another noteworthy feature is the oscillating axle:

Seems like a natural addition to whole working on slopes/gradeability package.

Powered by a tried and true Kubota D1105, this little unit puts a whole new angle on construction projects. Rent one for yourself today and you'll speedily find out what we're enthused about!
